Elder Marcellus P. Howard is the Senior Pastor of the Sharon church family.  His ministry began at Sharon, March 6, 2010.

Elder Howard has served the Lord, the Adventist denomination and the local church for twenty-seven years, initially as a Bible Instructor.  His service has afforded him the privilege of serving in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee.  Within that time and territory, the God of heaven has allowed Elder Howard to participate in a variety of ministry initiatives.  Elder Howard has served as pastor/evangelist soul-winner, revivalist, church builder and renovator of properties, liquidator of mortgages and church debt, radio personality, civic board member, founder of new congregations and the founder of a new church school.

Elder Howard is the excited, hopeful and prayerful father of three great young men.  Marcellus Brandon, age 23,  is completing his studies for a Masters Degree in Community Health at the University of Louisville.  Matthew Bradley, age 21, is studying and working abroad in Germany, pursuing his BS in the area of Culinary Science.  Marcus Bryant, age 17, is a senior attending the Louisville Seventh-day Adventist Academy.  After graduation this spring, Bryant anticipates attending Columbia Union College.

Elder Howard has adopted the motto of "Onward and Upward."  He solicits the prayers of all who believe in the power of God for the Sharon family as the vision is cast and implemented for Sharon's role in the spreading of the saving gospel of Jesus Christ and the building of God's kingdom, hastening the soon return of our Savior, Redeemer and Friend.
